MDI girls, Caribou boys pull out soccer wins

On Saturday, Sept 20 in Caribou, the visiting MDI Trojans girls exploded for five second-half goals to defeat the Vikings 5-1.  In the boys game, Caribou held off the Trojans for the 4-3 win.  

In the girls game, Caribou’s Quinn Corrigan scored the only first-half goal for the 1-0 halftime lead.  Early in the second half, MDI’s Lili Hanf and Claire Danielson scored less than a minute apart to give the Trojans the lead.  

The Trojans added goals by Cedar Nobel Brown, Delilah Damon-Dong, and Rosie Ellis for the final margin of 5-1.  MDI ups their record to 2-3, and the Vikings fall to 0-5.

In the boys game, Caribou and MDI battled back and forth all game, with the Vikings holding on for the 4-3 victory.  Caribou had three goals by Owen Corrigan and a single goal by Colby Ouellette.  MDI had goals by Cameron Graham, Isaac Ellis, and Colin Sullivan.  The Vikings move to 3-1-1, and the Trojans are now 3-2.
