DANFORTH, Maine — Fidium, a next-generation fiber internet and network services company, has been recognized with the Pinnacle Award for Telecom and Wireless, earning the distinction of Rural Broadband Champion.

One of the most remote and underserved areas in Maine, Fidium completed fiber network expansion to each of the region’s nearly 2,000 residents in just four months.

This rapid deployment stands as a model for successful rural broadband expansion in underserved areas, building upon Fidium’s expansion efforts through Maine. Today, 70%of Mainers have access to Fidium’s reliable fiber network – the most expansive network in the state, spanning more than 20,000 miles. As a result, more than 459,000 homes and businesses across 340 Maine communities can now benefit from Fidium’s future-ready connectivity and the opportunities that come with it.
