DANFORTH, Maine — The East Grand School is proud to announce that Amos Lindsey has been named the valedictorian of the Class of 2026. Lindsey has earned this distinction through academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to the school community.
Throughout his time at East Grand, Lindsey has maintained high grades while actively participating in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, basketball, soccer and volunteering to the local food pantry. He also participated in SkillsUSA and has been invited to Nationals in Atlanta Georgia this June.
Lindsey plans to attend Eastern Maine Community College in the fall, where he is enrolled in the diesel mechanic program.
Emma McIver has been named the salutatorian for the graduating Class of 2026.
McIver has been active in school government holding various class officer positions including this year’s vice president of the senior class.
McIver has been accepted into Husson College for audio engineering in the fall.
The Class of 2026 commencement ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on June 4 in the East Grand School Wyman Gymnasium.
