MARS HILL – Two Caribou-area men have been charged in connection with an incident in Mars Hill that occurred July 7.
“The Maine State Police, in conjunction with the Caribou Police Department, have arrested two Caribou men – Jared Thompson, 19, and John Sam, 18 – on charges stemming from an incident that occurred July 7 in Mars Hill,” said Sgt. Tom Pelletier, of the MSP.    Trooper Rob Flynn responded July 7 to a 9-1-1 call at the Andrea Fitzherbert residence in Mars Hill.
According to Pelletier, Thompson and Sam were reportedly at the residence earlier when a fight broke out with Fitzherbert’s boyfriend, Sam Jenks. Arrests were later made in connection with the incident at Fitzherbert’s.
“Troopers Kim Espling and Flynn arrested Sam at a residence in Connor Township, while Thompson was charged at the Caribou Police Department where he was being held on unrelated charges,” said Pelletier.
Sam and Thompson, along with a third male, face charges in the Caribou area.
Both subjects were charged with a Class C offense of aggravated criminal trespass and the Class D offense of assault. Thompson was also charged with the Class D offense of domestic assault, said Pelletier.
No bail conditions or court dates were available at presstime.
