LITTLETON – James Allen Tapley, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 11, 2014. He was born July 27, 1932, at Monticello, the son of James L. and Florence M. (Holtham) Tapley.
James grew up in Monticello and lived in Littleton where he drove truck for many years.
James is survived by his two sons, Wayne Tapley and his wife, Nicole, of Littleton, and Darrell Tapley of Manchester; grandchildren, James Tapley and Heather Tapley of Farmington, Darren and Shannon Tapley of Wallingford, CT, Ryan Tapley of Manchester, Jenna and Cory Johnson of Gardiner, and Brian and Salina Tapley of Seaford, DE; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind step-daughters Linda Forest, Kathy and Paul Bragan, Carolynn and Sonny Carpenter, all of Houlton; step-mother Joyce Tapley; half-brother, Peter Tapley, both of Monticello; half-sisters, Emily and David Jordan, Gloria and Joe Yond, all of Bangor, and Nancy Tapley of Charlotte, NC. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Joyce; and his son, Reginald “Reggie” Tapley.
