Curtis, Angela M., 94, Perham, in Bangor, April 28, 2009.  Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves  Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

 

    Perham – Angelia M. (King) Curtis, 94, died peacefully April 28, 2009, surrounded by her family at Eastside Manor in Bangor. She was born on Dec. 19, 1914, in Perham, the daughter of Edna (Roy) and Linneus King.  
    She was a long time resident of Perham, and member of the Perham Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her great sewing skills and has left us with many quilts, afghans and embroidered stand cloths.
 She was predeceased by her husband, James M. Curtis who died in 1997 after 56 years of marriage, and also by two sisters, Iris Bouchard and Rachel Kahn.
    She is survived by a son, Atwood J. Curtis and his wife Peggy of Camden, DE; a daughter, Mavis Curtis of Plainville, CT; a son, Ashley Curtis and his wife Mary of Searsport; four grandchildren, Sarah Black and husband Fred of Swanville, Aaron Curtis and wife Julie of Black Mountain, NC, Beth Sobosinski and husband Ray of Bear, DE, Glen Curtis and wife Jessica of Charlotte, NC;  three brothers, Alton King of Bloomfield, VT, Roy King of Woodland, Floyd King of Limestone; five great- granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.  
    Friends and family called 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2nd at the Perham Baptist Church with Rev. David Goupille officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Perham. Condolences may be expressed at duncan-graves.com.
