Remembering my first car

It was the summer of 1984; I was 16 and got my first real job pumping gas at MPG on Main Street in Presque Isle.

I purchased this car with a little bit of money I had saved and my very first loan from the County Federal Credit Union. The car was a 1975 black Oldsmobile Cutlass. I bought it from my sister and her husband.
I spent every dime I had fixing it up and painting it. I remember taking this car to my very first prom. I cleaned and washed it so much I could have very easily waxed the paint right off it.
The local police knew the car quite well; several speeding tickets were issued while I was behind the wheel.
The license plate from that car is hanging in my garage today with its original registration next to it. To this day I still search for another car like it.
We all know that you never forget your first car and all the memories that are made with them.
