Representatives from the NO on Question One/Stop the Scam campaign are calling on the Maine People’s Alliance, the proponents of the new 3.8% tax on families on the November ballot, to “Stop the Lies.”
The state’s leading business advocacy organization is endorsing Question 4 on the November ballot, saying the $49 million investment in the University of Maine System is critical to ensuring Maine employers can fill thousands of open jobs.
The Maine Association for Community Service Providers has announced its strong opposition to Question One on the ballot November 6, saying Question One would harm Mainers with disabilities and make it harder for them to access the support they need. In a statement opposing Question One posted to their web site, MACSP points out several serious flaws with Question One:
