Officials visit the site of veterans cemetery — Legislators visited the proposed site of a veterans cemetery to get an idea of what needs to be done to change the field into a burial ground. Organizers hope to begin burials by Memorial Day.

A blossoming giant

Nancy McBreairty of Caribou stands next to her 8-1/2-foot petunia plant she grew this year. As far as she knows, it is the largest known petunia in the U.S. according to her research. The flowering giant, a mix of wave and super petunias, has survived several frosts and is still growing and blossoming.

Limestone volunteers finish upgrades to community park

The Limestone Development Foundation, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, made up entirely of volunteers, began fundraising for new playground equipment and other amenities in 2020 and raised nearly $140,000 through grants and local donations.
