Reed Gallery presents Langlais’ World

The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Art Gallery presents Langlais’ World from March 3 to April 21. The exhibition will feature a selection from its large collection of original artworks by Maine native and internationally renowned artist Bernard Langlais, including sculptures, paintings, drawings, constructions, and sketchbooks.

Agency on Aging plans commodity food box distributions in March

Getting food and good nutrition is something all people need to remain healthy and happy. Whether it is a meal in a dining center, one delivered to the home, or a shelf stable commodity to help extend the monthly food budget, staff at the Aroostook Agency on Aging can connect older persons or those who are disabled to a service that will help meet their needs.

Washburn artist returning to Agency on Aging Gallery

Aroostook Agency on Aging is exhibiting the work of local artist Filomena Irving  in March as part of the Artists for Aging initiative. Her opening reception will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday,  March 3 during Presque Isle’s First Friday Art Walk.

As I type this report the temperature in Caribou is 46 degrees with water running everywhere.  This short-lived warm spell should not hurt us too badly.
