Well, it has become a reality. After almost two years of meetings, planning, countless hours of grant writing, letter campaigns, fundraising and pleading our cause, last weekend we celebrated “moving day” at the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
Our move will be much easier with fewer pets to move, and because we have so many dogs, the Central Aroostook Humane Society has decided that for the month of November, we will be offering all dog adoptions for a $25 flat fee.
Recently we took in a cat that looked like he had pretty much been on his own most of his life. He was not neutered, his fur was very dirty, his ears were bloody and he had a mouth full of bad teeth.
Once again, our shelter is full of healthy, loving pets of all shapes and sizes that are available for adoption. Here are some of the benefits of adopting a shelter pet.
