Barbara Ruth Clark, 76, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born September 6, 1941 in Mapleton, a daughter of the late Cecil “Jack” and Bertha (Boyles) Skidgel.

Rella B. Labbe, 91, died peacefully Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born July 27, 1926 in Eagle Lake, a daughter of the late William and Viola (Laferriere) Furlong.

Four girls and four boys Class D soccer matchups involving teams from the region will be played Thursday, Sept. 21.

Carlisle golf team collects home wins
The Carlisle golf team earned victories at a home match played last Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Caribou Country Club. The golfers followed that up the next day with a match at Houlton, losing to both the host Shires and the Mattanawcook Lynx.
