First, just noting that Mr. Crean has twice (in his letters published July 9 and July 23) used an informal interpretation of the term “probable cause” in place of its actual legal definition.

The Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for North Star Pediatric Therapy LLC, located at 552 Main St. in Caribou.
Camp violates human rights
To the editor:
A new immigration detention camp just opened in Florida.
The conditions at the camp are, reportedly, “horrible.” Prisoners are denied water and food for long stretches; the food they are given has pests in it.
Appreciates transportation funds

Rep. Roger Albert deserves thanks and praise for his work at the Maine Legislature as a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Transportation.
