PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — On Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., the SAD 1 School Board will host a workshop on harvest break.
The meeting will be held in the Board Conference Room at Presque Isle High School. The format will involve five people speaking in favor of keeping harvest break and five people speaking in favor of eliminating the recess. Each speaker will be limited to five (5) minutes.
Any person wishing to speak in favor of keeping harvest break should contact school board member Brandon Roope at maysfamomainert.com or by phone at 551-0696.
Any person wanting to speak in favor of eliminating harvest break should contact the superintendent’s office.
In addition, the district will accept written comments and present them to the board for the workshop.
The board will have discussion following the presentations but no action will be taken at this meeting. Materials are available for review on the district website at www.sad.org.
