State police arrest Patten man in connection with bank robbery

PATTEN, Maine — Maine State Police arrested a 59-year-old Patten man Thursday morning, two days after he allegedly robbed the East Mill Federal Credit Union.

Police took Bryan Ingalls, 59, of Patten into custody Thursday morning and charged him with robbery, according to Lt. Brian Harris of the Maine State Police. Officers transported Ingalls to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, where bail was set at $40,000 cash.

Harris stated that an undisclosed portion of the money was recovered during the investigation. The total amount stolen from the credit union was not released by police.

“The investigation is continuing with other leads being investigated and evidence was recovered,” Harris said.

Ingalls allegedly entered the East Mill Federal Credit Union on Church Street in Patten shortly before 2:40 p.m. Tuesday and demanded money from a teller before fleeing on foot.
