Limestone officials to enlist MMA help in town manager search

LIMESTONE, Maine — Limestone’s Selectboard voted Nov. 20 to ask the Maine Municipal Association to take over the search for a new town manager following an executive session, according to interim Town Manager Vicki Page.

Page has served as the town’s interim manager since Aug. 16, and has continued to work as the town’s clerk, tax collector and treasurer.

She was appointed by the Selectboard after Town Manager Elizabeth Dickerson departed to move closer to family located downstate.

Dickerson was officially hired on Dec. 21, 2018, and previously served on Rockland City Council. She also represented her hometown of Rockland as well as Owl’s head in the Main State Legislature.

Since Dickerson’s departure, the town has interviewed two candidates for the position of town manager. Page said these two candidates are still in the running for the position, adding that MMA may seek out additional candidates after taking over the search.
