Glennice E. Welch

Welch, Glennice E., 78, died February 3, 2007 at a Bangor hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.     Chapman – Glennice  E. Welch, 78, died February 4, 2007 at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 6, 1928 in Bangor, the daughter of Afton and Grace (Tibbetts) Bowman.
    Glennice was a graduate of Bangor High School, and the School of Nursing at Eastern Maine General Hospital (1951). She had been employed as a Nurse at Arthur R. Gould Memorial Hospital in Presque Isle for many years and later by Northern Maine Technical College in Presque Isle as a Nursing Instructor for over 14 years.
    Surviving her is her husband of 48 years, Merwin E. Welch of Chapman; a daughter, Sydnia Czarnecki and her husband David Hottle and her children, Jacob and Anastasia Czarnecki all of Needham, MA; a son, Dwight A. Welch and his wife Jo and their son Eric all of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada; two sisters, Marilyn Debarry of Biloxi, MS, and Elsie Betters of Glenburn as well as several nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends may call at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Gardiner officiating. Interment will be in the Castle Hill Cemetery later in the spring.
