Grand Falls gave the Atoms hockey team a scare in Saturday’s game, but the short handed Presque Isle team pulled out the 5-4 win.
Presque Isle fielded only seven skaters and a goalie but played tough and tirelessly against their Canadian neighbors.
Wildcat goals came from Tyler Seeley and Ryder Soucy with two each and Colin McKay with one while assists were added by McKay with two and Seeley and Alex Michaud with one each.
Aaron Kofstad played a strong game in the net, facing 25 shots.
The Atom team next travels to Auburn for the state tournament this weekend.
