LIMESTONE, Maine – The Crown of Maine Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers Robert J. Poiesz Memorial Scholarship is pleased to announce it will be offering one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to outstanding graduating high school seniors in the final half of his/her school year, or high school graduates within the last six months of the March 5 application deadline. Individuals working toward their GED and anticipate graduating within six months of the application deadline are also eligible.
The Crown of Maine Chapter also offers nominations to its national organization’s scholarship awards. The national level offers one $3,000 scholarship, five $2,000 scholarships and five $1,000 scholarships. An applicant must be planning on entering a field of study directly related to financial/resource management for consideration.
The American Society of Military Comptrollers is a non-profit educational and professional organization for persons, military and civilian, who are involved in the overall field of military comptrollership. Its mission statement is to promote education, training and professional development in this field. The Crown of Maine Chapter is based out of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Limestone. The Chapter established the scholarship fund to fulfill the mission and to support local communities. Its goal is to encourage and assist young scholars in their pursuit of higher education.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail.
