    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Quoggy Jo holds youth skiing and snowboarding races every Sunday at 1 p.m. Individuals must race three times to qualify for a trophy at the end of the season. The following are the recordings for the top times in the races held March 11, 2007.
    For skiing participants, the winner for girls ages 6 and under was Grace Bemis, with a time of 1:13. For girls ages 7-8 was Brook McLean, with a time of 1:44. In the boys ages 7-8 group, Patrick Cash came in first with a time of 48.61 seconds, Grant Stewart came in second with a time of 51.94 seconds and Aaron Swanson came in third with a time of 1:08.
Angela Hallowell came out on top for the girls’ group ages 9-10 with a time of 48.80 seconds with Erin Ackerson following in second at 54.16. For the boys in the same age group, Chris Carroll came in first with a time of 48.14, with Jonathan Freeman following in second at 55.24, Dalton Cassidy in third with 1:01, and Brandon McLean rounding out forth with a time of 1:05.
In the age group 11-12, Meredith Stewart came out with a win for the girls with a time of 39.43 seconds with Megan Ireland placing second with a time of 44.21. For the boys, Thomas Freeman placed first with a time of 47.19 and Collin Cassidy, second, at 49.42.
Chelsey Carroll skied past the competition for the girls ages 13-14 at 46.38 seconds, with Christina Hallowell following with 48.85. In the same age group, Aaron Nightengale took home first place for the boys with a time of 40.59 seconds.
For boys ages 15-18, Eric Morris flew into first place with a time of 32.10 seconds, with Lucas Mathers following in second at 34.06, Tom Barnes in third at 34.28, Ryan Bernier, fourth, at 42.15, and Ethan York rounding out fifth with a time of 47.73 seconds.
For snowboarding participants, Drew Bates placed first for boys ages 9-10 with a time of 45.74 seconds. Adam Cyr was the top runner for boys ages 11-12 with a time of 43.70. Kailee Ireland, won the race for girls ages 15-18 with a time of 54.07.
For boys ages 15-18, Seth Swanson led the way with a time of 37.97 seconds, Warren Zubrick got second with a time of 41.20, Nick Weeks in third at 50.43 seconds, and Elizan McLean in forth with a time of 51.55 seconds.
