SEWARD, Lavina Marie, 86, died May 10, 2007 at a Mars HIll health care facility. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.

WASHBURN – Lavina Marie Seward 86, wife of the late George Seward, went home to be with her Lord, May 10, 2007 at a Mars Hill health care facility after a short illness. She was born on June 4, 1920 in Castle Hill, the daughter of James and Mary Ellen (Kennedy) Richardson. She married George Seward on January 1, 1936 Lavina was a member of the Washburn Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, talking to the Lord and singing. She was a prayer warrior and spent many hours praying for the needs of others. Lavina was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. All of her grandchildren were very special to her. She was a kind and gentle person who will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
    Surviving her son and daughter-in-law George and Linda Seward of Perham, grandchildren; 3 grandchildren; Kelly Lunney of Wade, Dean Seward of Perham, Kirby Seward and his wife Danielle of Chapman. 6 great grandchildren Shannon Murphy, Shawn Henthorn, Nathan Seward, Conor, Meghan, and Morgan Seward. 3 great-great grandchildren Sage Murphy and Aiden and Siara Henthorn; a brother Herbert Richardson and his wife Jean of Orlando, Fl., four sisters; Florence Johnson and her husband Tom of Castle Hill, Verna Pryor and Mabel Skidgel and her husband Freland all of Ashland, Leila Cary and her husband Dwight of Washburn. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by 2 grandsons Danny Seward and Dan Lunney; four brothers, Edward, Willard, Jerome and Rev Alton Richardson and three sisters, Lillian Ferland, Clara Dunn, and Lucy Pryor.
    Funeral services were conducted 2:00 PM Monday May 14, 2007 at the Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Riverside Extention Cemetery in Washburn, a reception will follow in the basement of the church.
