Pony League results
RBD defeated Ashland 7-0 on July 2. Brennen Shaw started the game on the mound and got relief help from Wilder York and Ethan Braley. These three combined to allow only one hit. RBD only had a 2-0 lead entering the fifth inning but broke the game open with five runs in their half of the inning.
Brennen Shaw led the way offensively with three hits, highlighted by a triple. Nick Bouchard had two singles while Amos Dean and Ethan York each contributed a double. Ethan Braley rapped a single to complete the RBD offensive output.
There were many outstanding defensive plays during this contest. The stellar defense was displayed by Wilder York, Derek Sczuroski, Brennen Shaw, Amos Dean, Cole Richards, Connor Shaw, Ethan Braley, and Ryley Norton.
In their second game of the afternoon, RBD scored 11 runs in the second inning to lead the way to the victory over Van Buren. Amos Dean was the offensive star as he collected three hits, including a triple, and six runs batted in.
Ben McKenna had a huge day as he tripled, doubled, and singled. Ethan York added a single and a double while Derek Sczuroski and Ethan Braley each slapped two singles. Wilder York roped a triple and Ryley Norton and Travis Powers each had a single to round out the hitting.
Brennen Shaw, Wilder York, Derek Sczuroski, and Ethan Braley combined to pitch a one hit shut out. They were helped by tremendous infield defense provided by Amos Dean, Wilder York, Ryley Norton, Ethan Braley, and Derek Sczuroski.
Major League results
The Elks defeated Rotary 5-2 on July 2. Jeremy Parlin had three doubles and an RBI, while Jacob Player had a double and two RBIs. Offensively for Rotary, Logan Craig went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Khyver Lowe also had a double, while Cody Flannery had three hits and Brandon Oakes two hits.
There were many stellar plays in the field. For the Elks, Jeremy Parlin made a few awesome plays, including a diving stop. Aaron Kofstad, Brandon LeBlanc, Jacob Player, Logan Craig, Khyver Lowe, Hale Cushman, and Alex Ouellette all had good defensive plays.
On Friday the Kiwanis defeated the Elks by a score of 5-4. The winning pitcher was Jacob Williams with Tony Curtis picking up the save on the mound. Jacob Player pitched well in defeat.
Leading hitters for Kiwanis were Corey Belanger with three big hits and an RBI, Tyler Seeley with two hits and two RBIs, and Tony Curtis with a huge double and two RBIs. Karson Wilcox and Jacob Williams each contributed singles.
The Elks were led at the plate by Trevor Levesque with three hits, Johan Stephenson with a double, and Jacob Player and Drew Barrett picking up key singles.
Key defensive plays for Kiwanis were made by Tony Curtis, Corey Belanger, Tyler Seeley, Cody Lyford, Karson Wilcox, and Liam Hughes. The Elks had some fine defensive play by Jonah Stephenson, Jacob Player, Aaron Kofstad, and Alex Ouellette.

The next scheduled drain day is Wednesday, July 17. The pool will be closed for day and night general swim that day, and will reopen Thursday, July 18.
