Players — An original play, “The Crowded Inn,” written by Rev. Harold J. Rowley will be presented Sunday evening, Dec. 22 at the Methodist Church by Senior MYF under the direction of Mrs. Phyllis Nelder. Among the cast are: Wise Men played by Tommy Bell, Gilbert Clark and Jerry London, the innkeeper played by Malcolm Hare, wife of the innkeeper by Barbara Bell and Peter Allen, innkeeper’s nephew.
Honors — Allen “Mickey” McKay, sales manager of Tingley Bakery Co., was honored Friday evening for completing 25 years of service with the company. Fellow employees presented him with a piece of luggage and management gave him a wrist watch.

Throwing a party — The Houlton Lion’s Club ended their year of community service with over 200 attending their third annual Christmas party at Madigan Estates. Hamburgers and french fries were served.
“I went there feeling like two cents and came away feeling like a million dollars,” said Jim Sennett, Lion’s Club president.
Kitchen committee for the party included Louis Durost, Gil Chaisson, Leland Longstaff and Don Taggett.

The party, hosted by library staff and story hour director Valerie Gove, included refreshments, films and a visit from Santa.
