HOULTON, Maine — Brian McGuire, a longtime leader in the local water industry, was recently recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Maine Water Utilities Association during its annual conference and trade show held this past February.
McGuire, who recently retired after nearly 40 years of dedicated service, spent his career with the Houlton Water Company, where he served as superintendent of the Water Treatment and Distribution and Sewer Collections Department since 2009.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, McGuire has been deeply involved with the Maine Water Utilities Association for many years. He contributed his time and expertise as a member of the organization’s program committee, served on its board of directors and held the position of president for several years. His commitment helped guide the association in supporting water professionals across the state.
McGuire’s long-standing dedication to advancing the water industry in Maine, along with his commitment to public service, made him a natural choice for this prestigious honor. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field, and McGuire’s impact is evident both locally and statewide.
