MAPLETON – CARIBOU – Theo G. Chandler, 92, wife of the late Emmons Chandler, went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2007, at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. She was born Jan. 1, 1915 in Mapleton, the daughter of Robert and Minnie (Casey) Buchanan. Theo was a member of the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church for 64 years, and a member of the Star City Senior Citizens Club in Presque Isle. She will always be remembered as being good-natured and could handle a joke. She always had a smile and enjoyed people.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Leon, and Ronald Buchanan, and two sisters Pearle Buchanan and Etta Condon. Surviving her, is her son Robert F. Chandler and his wife Sylvia of Washburn; her daughter Sharon Willette and her husband Carroll of Mapleton; grandchildren, Terri Tozier and her husband Brian of Crouseville; Shannon Keith and her husband David of Indiana; Michelle Holton of Mapleton; and Tammi Grass and her husband Mark of Belfast; great- grandchildren, Nicholle, Rebekah, Michaela and Chandler Tozier of Crouseville; David Jr., Hannah, Elizabeth and Timmy Keith of Indiana. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home 30 Church St., Presque Isle with Rev. Rick Kavanaugh and Rev. Darren Bonville officiating. Gail Vreeland, Larry and Becky Palmer will be the vocalists. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Refreshments will be served in the gathering area of the funeral home after the service. Spring interment will be in Castle Hill Cemetery.
