PRESQUE ISLE – The University of Maine at Presque Isle women’s basketball hosted St. Joseph’s College of Maine on Saturday, Dec. 15 during the annual Star City Basketball Tournament. The Monks of St. Joe’s were too much to handle, as they earned the 72-53 win over the UMPI Owls.
Leading the way for Presque Isle was junior Erica Davis (Cumberland, ME) with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Seniors Julie Wescott (Westbrook, ME) and Ashley Brooker (Limestone, ME) each added 12 points in the loss. Junior Anna Lenentine (Monticello, ME) lead her team in assists with five.
Marie Lint of St. Joe’s led all scorers with 16 points.
