Easton & Fort Fairfield – Thomas R. Closso, 56, husband of Mrs. Deborah (Johnson) Closson, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 19, 2008, while purchasing livestock in Lewisburg, PA. He was born March 12, 1951, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Russell and Geraldine (Bilodeau) Closson. He attended Easton schools and served in the United States Army in Vietnam serving with the 1st Air Calvary. Tom was married to Deborah Johnson on April 18, 1970, and the couple owned and operated T & D Farms, Forest Avenue, Fort Fairfield. He was predeceased by his father and one sister, Barbara Bolster.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mrs. Deborah Closson of Fort Fairfield; his mother, Geraldine Closson of Canann; two daughters, Heidi Brouette and her husband Jerry of Fort Fairfield and Tammy Closson of Easton; two brothers, Larry Closson and his wife Marge of Brewer, David Closson and his companion, Cindy of Kenduskeag; one sister, Brenda Collins and her husband Sam of Canaan; two grandchildren, Cody Closson and Marissa Brouette; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes there will be no services. Those who wish may contribute in memory Mr. Closson to the Carl Robert Dream foundation, c/o Linda Langley, 304 North Caribou Road, Fort Fairfield, 04742. Arrangements are in the care of the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
