Go girls
    This program is for girls in grades six to eight and meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. beginning May 5. This is a group where girls can express themselves, learn new skills and have fun. For more information, call 493-4224.
13-16 baseball
    Application forms are now available for the Caribou Park and Recreation Department’s 13- to 16-year-old summer baseball program. All players must register to be eligible to play. First year players must provide a copy of their birth certificate. There is a $15 registration fee. The deadline is May 23.
Pitch Hit and Run

    The Caribou Recreation Department and Caribou Little League hosted a local pitch, hit and run competition for youths ages 7 through 14 last Saturday, May 17. The competition consisted of pitching accuracy, hitting for distance and accuracy, as well as the speed of running the bases. Out of 49 participants who competed in the contest, 19 moved on to the sectional competition that will be held in Bangor on May 31.
    Winners follow by age group. Age 7 and 8: all-around champion – Kyle Soeteart-Beaulier; pitching champions – Daniel Randolph, Spencer McDuffie, Ashley Matlock, Rachel Soucy; hit champion – Soeteart-Beaulier; run champion – Noah Frost.
    Age 9 and 10: all-around champion – Donovan Savage; pitch champion – Savage; hit champion – Nick Frost; run champion – N. Frost.
    Age 11 and 12: all-around champion – Dayne Savage; pitch champion – Matt Milliard; hit champion – Sean Sadler; run champion – Savage.
    Age 13 and 14: all-around champion – Eric Tilmont; pitch champion – Tilmont; hit champion – Devin Berkoski; run champion – Berkoski.
