Summer program registration
Summer program booklets will be disseminated to the Caribou Schools the first week of June. Program registration for residents is set for June 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Non-resident registration will be held June 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Summer program starting dates
Caribou Parks and Recreation summer programs will begin the week of June 23 with CRX beginning on Monday and baseball, softball, tennis and arts and crafts getting underway on Wednesday. The Caribou Community Pool will open on Monday, June 30.
CRX program changes
Due to the loss of grant funding, the CRX program will be limited to Caribou residents for a fee. Non-residents will be allowed to register on waiting lists. For further information, call 493-4224.
Walking hours
The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center is open for walkers Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Adult softball
The Caribou Parks and Recreation men’s and co-ed softball league games will get underway the week of May 26. Games are played at Teague Park and in Presque Isle. Teams have been established, however, persons wishing to join the league can contact the recreation office at 493-4224.
13-16 baseball
The deadline for 13- to 16-year-olds wishing to play in the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department’s league is Friday, May 30.
Registration forms are available at the recreation office. There is a $15 fee due at registration.
