The CAHS French students held their annual French Project competition recently. The projects were on display earlier this spring, during the Student Exhibition / Science Fair.
In the Poster division, first place was awarded to Brianna Hartin for her pencil portrait of Angelina Jolie. Second place went to Kassandra LeClaire for her Napoleon Bonaparte torn-paper collage portrait. Third went to Sasha Grass – Renoir’s “Two Young Girls at the Piano” pastel painting. Fourth, Brooke Smith – Cote d’Azur Golf Club poster in oil pastels. Fifth, Carissa DeLong – Cendrillon (Cinderella) painting. Sixth, Rebecca Grass – Blanche Neige (Snow White) color-pencil painting.
Honorable mention went to: Crystal Ladd, Shawn McIntyre, Matthew Amnott, Kristen Long, Gabrielle Brewer, Caleb Kelly, Jason Donahue, Brian Faulkner, Tyler Rusby, Caleb Jewett and Trevor Lento.
In the Model division, first place was awarded to Joshua Faulkner – Arc de Triomphe, second was Kyle Donahue – Empress Josephine’s Bedchamber at Malmaison, third – Rachel Donovan – Potage Parmentier (Potato-Leek Soup) Meal, fourth – Olivia Grow – Family Silhouettes Scherenschnitte (cut-paper portraits), fifth (tie) – Aryn Bernier – Louis Vuitton Travel Trunk and Marci Rae Mean – Eyneburg 2 Stained-Glass Window, and sixth – Kate Pinette – Bichon Frise Dog.
Honorable mention went to: Garrett Stiles, Kathleen Decker, Ethan Stiles, Josh Hawksley, Chelsea Hartin, Jeremy Tweedie, Carl DeLong, Jeff Devoe, Paige Findlen, Emmanuel Martinez, Ethan Garrison and Katherine Palmer.
