Yard sale successful

The Maliseet Boys & Girls Club and Youth Program are pleased to announce that the Benefit Yard Sale held on June 19-21 was a resounding success. The yard sale netted a total of $735 that will be used to subsidize youth activities and help send three youth to Washington, D.C. to attend the Annual Native American Close-Up Program that is held every February.
A special thank you goes out to the 20 individuals who donated a wide variety of items for the sale and too those who came and purchased items. The left over yard sale goods are being donated to Catholic Charities of Maine located in Caribou. There are plans to hold another yard sale in October and we will be looking for new donation items and if you are interested in donating please call the Maliseet Youth Program at 532-2240.
