When the Small sisters, Paige, 14 and Abby, 16, decided to teach others kids how to dance and have fun, they created a big success.
Kids teaching kids to dance is the logo for Small Steps Dance, under the direction of sisters Paige and Abby Small of Caribou. During a recent summer dance performance the two showed their own dance styles.
Recently the Small Steps Dance members, under the direction of the two sisters, put on their summer show, at the Performing Arts Center in Caribou. A large audience was treated to two hours of non-stop dancing performed by ladies ages 3 to the young at heart.
Both sisters commented how much fun it is the teach others to dance. With their logo, “kids teaching kids to dance,” the music and motion is very contagious. With over 90 dance students participating in Small Steps Dance, plus some moms who decided to see if they could keep up (and proved they could), the performance featured 28 different performances, everything from, ‘I’ve Got the Music in Me’ to ‘Crabs in the Bucket,’ with each performer dancing their heart out, their smiles larger than one could imagine.
With the summer dance camp being only seven weeks long, the Small kids proved that all kids can do big things.
