Hunting safety class

    PRESQUE ISLE – Presque Isle Adult Education will offer a hunter safety class for those who desire to purchase their first adult hunting license.
    Students must be 10-years-old or older to attend and 10- to 12-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum class size will be 25, and priority will be given to those 15 and older.     Students are required to prepare a survival kit before the class is over.
    A registration fee of $5 will be charged. All classroom materials will be provided by Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
    Classes will be held at the Presque Isle High School on four Thursday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. starting on Aug. 28 and ending Sept. 18. Attendance is mandatory at all classes; only emergency absences may be made up. The primary instructor will be John Graves.

    A second class will be held Oct. 21, 22, 27 and 28.
