At the end of July, 16 Catholic youth, young adults and adults participated in a week-long Christian Leadership Institute (CLI). Participants from around the state attended the session, which was held on the University of Maine at Farmington campus.

Participants attended workshops which covered topics such as community building, project planning, liturgy planning, group dynamics, public speaking, prayer, youth ministry, and affirmation.
Spiritual development accompanied the sessions, helping participants articulate their faith, as well as forming their parish and community leadership skills.
Those attending from Aroostook County were: Karen Ouellette, workshop presenter from St. John Vianney; Gabrielle Brewer, Robyn Violette, Joachim Parent, Casey Violette and Marissa Ouellette from St. Peter’s Chapel, Van Buren; Donna Deschaine, Mark Boucher, Matt Albert, Denyse Guerrette, Nicole Cyr and Lisa Sirois from Notre Dame , Madawaska; Sophie Ouellette from Our Lady of the Valley, St. Agatha; Paul Griffin and Chris Harris from St. Mary’s, Houlton, and Jeanine Morneault, from Sacred Heart, North Caribou.
