Senior Bradley Trask was recognized on Dec. 8, just prior to Easton Bears varsity boy’s basketball team first home game.
Trask, starting forward for the Easton Bears, also completed his final year on the Bears varsity boys’ soccer team, ending his career with a new school record of 66 goals. There to present the award was Georgette Ireland, principal of Easton High School, and soccer coach Greg Miller.
Additionally, Athletic Director Steve Shaw noted that the school was going to start an “Easton soccer 50 goal club” to set the mark for future athletes on the soccer field. Presenting that award was Superintendent Frank Keenan. The plaque, to be kept in Easton’s trophy case, will showcase Trask’s name as the first of any player to accomplish this goal.
But, Shaw anticipates others to follow. “It is our hope that other soccer players will strive to attain this type of excellence,” he said.
