In Fort Kent, the Caribou Viking alpine team met up with teams from Presque Isle, Fort Kent, Central Aroostook and Madawaska to compete Saturday.

Caribou Viking Laura Collins placed 2nd in the girls’ slalom, part of Saturday’s alpine ski meet held in Fort Kent.
Finishing in second and third with times of 1:52.23 and 1:58.39 respectively were Laura Collins and Lydia Kieffer in the girls’ giant slalom. As a team, the girls’ giant slalom team tied for first with P.I.
In the regular girls’ slalom, Kieffer finished eighth and Collins finished in tenth place.
As a team, the girls’ finished third.
In the boys’ giant slalomEthan McDuffie finished twelfth with a time of 1:50.96.
The boys’ giant slalom team finished four out of five, and in the boys’ slalom, McDuffie finished seventeenth with the team finishing in fourth again.
