To the editor:
Because I was the person that spearheaded the benefit supper that was mentioned in an article in the Bangor Daily News on Tuesday, Feb. 17 and the Pioneer Times on Wednesday, Feb. 18, I feel compelled to clarify the fact that there was no alcohol at the benefit supper. There was a dance that followed the supper which I was not responsible for.
Myself, along with the five ladies that helped me with the supper served a delicious meal to over 200 people who came to show their support to a family that had recently lost their home and belongings in a fire. We then cleaned up after ourselves and left before the dance ever began.
There was no alcohol nor was there any fighting that occurred at the benefit supper. I felt I needed to clarify this.
