POKER RUN – Above, a participant signs for the Molunkus Valley Sno-Drifters, Inc. poker run held Saturday, Feb. 21, while below, sledders enjoy not only the good weather, the sights, but also the well-groomed trails through the region.
Snowmobilers gathered at the clubhouse for doughnuts and coffee before getting their card before hitting the trails to start the poker run. On the second stop, sledders enjoyed the porcupine watching them from the tree. He was popular as he had his photograph taken several times. The sledders continued on their way, as the weather and trails were awesome.
Snowsledders returned back to the clubhouse to see who finished the trip, gathering the best hand. Herb Fithian was the winner, while Alexis Palleschi was second and Norma Cummings, third. The worst hand went to James Gantiner, who got to sign the toilet seat. He was also given a club hat for being a good sport.
Organizers want to extend their thanks to everyone who participated and especially to Rick Allen, Chris Allen and Rick Long for all the trail grooming.
