“She is involved in many extracurricular activities, including band, skiing. dance and hockey,” her teachers added, “Jillian is an exemplary school citizen who is kind to her peers and respectful to her teachers. It is an honor to recognize her with this award.”Jenna Boucher was selected as the March Student of the Month from the fifth-grade “Brainiacs” team, by her teachers Mrs. Nella Ouellette and Mrs. Cindy Levasseur.
The CMS teachers said of Boucher, “Jenna is very conscientious and has excellent work ethics. She is a kind person and a pleasure to be with. Her extracurricular activities include the CMS Band, Builder’s Club, Girl Scouts and Rec basketball.”
Nerissa Larrabee, a member on the “Six-ceeder” team was selected to be Student of the Month for March by her teachers Mrs. Cathy Bouchard, Mr. John Pelletier and Mrs. Ruth Dionne. The CMS team teachers said, “Nerissa and her twin sister Robyn moved to Caribou from Woolwich this past fall. She is a highest honor student who is extremely creative and talented. Nerissa is a member of the Gifted and Talented program as well as the Caribou Middle School band.”
“Nerissa is not only helpful and kind toward her peers, she is a great team player who always tries her best in every situation and is a pleasure to have in class, to both her teachers and her fellow students,” they added.
Dylan Coty, with a twinkle in his eye and a broad smile on his face, is the Student of the Month for March for the sixth-grade “WOWS” team. “His entrance into the classroom is a sure sign of positive enjoyment of school and of his friends,” said CMS teachers, Ms. Deede Duncan and Mrs. Donna Holmes. “Dylan Coty is perceived as a bundle of joy by both his teachers and his classmates,” they added.
Described by his teachers as an example of an all around sixth-grade boy, Dylan shares his interests in deer hunting with his Dad and trapping with a friend through stories of his expeditions. His love of the outdoor continues with his talents as a Nordic skier and this season he placed in the County Classic Nordic Championship competition.
Danae McKenna, a seventh-grade student on the Caribou Middle School “SWAT” team, was named by her teachers Ms. Shelly Richardson, Mrs. Mary Curtis and Mr. Steve Perreault as their March Student of the Month.
McKenna’s teachers stated, “Danae is a bright young lady who participates in many different activities for her school and in the community. She is a member of chorus and show choir at CMS and within her community she provides service to a church youth group and sponsors a child in need. Danae is a pleasure to have in the classroom as she is respected and appreciated by her peers and teachers.”.
Keith Draper was chosen by the seventh-grade “STARS” team teachers, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt and Mr. Roger Thompson, as Student of the Month for March.
“Keith is involved in many activities both in and outside of school,” his teachers said, He is a member of the CMS Ski and tennis teams, and is also on honor roll students and a Middle School Young Author. Keith takes great pride in his work and is very willing to help out anyone in need and is a very active member of the Boy Scouts, where has won several awards. His favorite subjects are French and physical education.”
Tiffany Bishop has been named Student of the Month for March by her grade-eight teachers, Mrs. Courtney Boma, Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mrs. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper and Mrs. Jessica Dow.
In describing Tiffany, her teachers stated, “Tiffany is a member of the eighth Grade Leadership Team, and a consistent honor roll student. She has participated in Talent Search for the past three years and is also a member of the CMS chorus. Tiffany is a polite and respectful student and her teachers believe that one of her best traits is how she is often quick to help others. She has been a very helpful student for not only her teachers, but also her peers and this is reflected not only by her being a member of the leadership team last year, but also by volunteering a whole Saturday to help out at the CMS wrestling tournament.”
Emily Soderberg was named by her grade-eight teachers, Mrs. Courtney Boma, Mr. Ralph Fantasia, Mrs. Troy Barnes, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper and Mrs. Jessica Dow to receive the March Student of the Month award. The teachers said, “Throughout her eighth-grade year Emily has been a model student. This is evident through her high honor rolls status. Emily is an extremely helpful and considerate student who always is willing to assist staff and students. She is very polite and is a pleasure to have in class.”
“Emily has not only focused on achieving good grades while in the eighth-grade,” her teachers continued, “she has also been very active with extracurricular activities which include cross-country running, cross-country skiing, softball, chorus, show choir, drama club and the eighth grade leadership team. She doesn’t hesitate to volunteer her time to benefit her class as she spent an entire Saturday working at the CMS wrestling tournament which was used as a fund-raiser for the eighth-grade class.
