Al Reeves Memorial Tournament

    THE ANNUAL AL REEVES memorial tournament was held in memory of Dr. Alvin F. Reeves on March 28. Dr. Reeves was an avid bowler, mentor and role model and this year’s tournament marks the eighth consecutive year it has been held in his honor. 34 bowlers participated in the event, which was split by two divisions.

In Division 1, Dan Dyer beat Chuck Fletcher, 155-126. Dyer beat Tom Pelkey, 150-120, and Michael Lee at 118-106 to win the Division 1. In Division 2, Larry Reeves beat Jodi Nickerson at 131-127. Alice Caron beat Reeves, 129-117 and Jeff Nichols at 121-114 to win Division 2. Caron and Dyer met up in the final round, where Caron beat Dyer 115-107. Caron is pictured above, center right, holding the trophy she was awarded for her victory. To her left is Carol Reeves, wife of the late Dr. Reeves. Reeves children an d grandchildren also attended the annual event.
