Men’s Twilight League began play for 2009 this past Monday. With three divisions this year, the action appears to be as heated as ever. Defending 2008 champs Tony Marino and Andrew Peabody took it on the chin opening day, as the Fitzpatrick/Bouchard team beat them in their first match.
    The  annual June Jamboree, a Member/Member – Member/Guest Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 a.m.  The format again this year is nine holes of two-person scramble and nine holes of Best Ball. This popular All-net event is a fun competition, so sign up now.  Also coming up July 3 is the annual Houlton High School Alumni Scramble. Get your four-person team together and be ready for this nine-hole golf treat at 9 a.m.  You do not have to be a HHS alumnus to play. If you don’t have a team, sign up anyway, and we will put you with a group. Later that day is the annual Houlton High School Alumni Social from 3-7 p.m.
The Junior Golf Clinic, being conducted again by Bruce Nason and David Grant, begins Tuesday, June 30  at  8 a.m. for 8-10 year olds. The 11-15 year old group will go from 9:30-11 a.m.  Sign up now in the clubhouse (532-2662).  Registration and the first session will be at the range.  After that week, all sessions will be held on Mondays at the same time.
