Our way of speaking up

To the editor:
This Saturday, Republicans will be taking part in the Potato Blossom Parade in Fort Fairfield. There are some though, my family and myself included, who will not be participating because we do not agree with the values and decisions made by our two GOP Senators, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe.

These two senators will be in the parade and we do not want to be linked with them. We are Christians and American Patriots first, before any party affiliation, and we feel it is time to stand firm for our beliefs. The Republican party has made too many compromises and has strayed too far from their own party platform. If we hope to return to the Constitution and principles this country was founded on we must not be afraid to speak up and stand firm!
Our absence in the parade is our way of speaking up.
