A ride for a great cause!

To the editor:
    On the weekend of June 19, 20 and 21, I had the pleasure of participating in the “Trek Across Maine” with family and friends (some old, some new). 

     I didn’t realize until arriving at Sunday River on the evening of June 18, what an adventure and great experience we were going to be part of.
    There were individuals participating from 30 states, resulting in 2,600 registered bikers. 2,038 of these bikers actually rode all three days, there were 600 volunteers and we raised $1.6 million for the American Lung Association.
    I would like to personally thank all the businesses and individuals that sponsored me for this event. It was truly an experience I will never forget and can’t wait until 2010 to do it again!
