Shooters recognized

    The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club (HRPC) held their semi-annual potluck supper Sunday, July 19. The buffet-style affair held at their range/club house featured hors d’oeuvre, vegetables, salads, entrees and desserts. Among the delicacies served were barbecued beans, corn chowder, ham, chicken pasta casserole, meat balls, potato scallop, brownies and chocolate chip cookies. No one went away hungry.

    Following the meal, the winners of the Winter Shoot were announced and prizes awarded as follows: Slow Timed and Rapid Fire matches employing a .22 semi-automatic pistol at 50 feet – first place Eric Richards, second place Rod Hemingway and third place Curtis Harrison; center fire matches using either a center fire revolver or semi-automatic pistol against a Slow Fire Target – first place Eric Richards, second place Paul Harrison and third place Jim Newman; and 22 rim fire rifle matches using a Slow Fire Target – first place Paul Harrison, second place Curtis Harrison and third place Eric Richards.
