Saskatoon-bound

Josh McMann, a former Easton High School graduate, Class of 2003, left for a job in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on July 31. Josh graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in May. He will be involved in building a power plant there. He will be working for SNC Lavalin, traveling around, building power plants, wherever they need him.

Visits

Vance and Debbie Smith took Jared Hafford and Zach Clark to Old Orchard Beach last weekend. They stayed with their son, Chris, and his daughter, Olivia. While there, they went to Splashtown; and believe it or not, the weather was beautiful. They also went to Old Orchard Beach.
Also visiting Old Orchard Beach for the weekend was Heidi and Allison Burtt and their children Taylor and Connor. They picked up Taylor from soccer camp and then went on to Old Orchard Beach. They also went to a water park, but a different one than we went to. They went to Aquaboggan.

Getting ready for school

Believe it or not, next week school starts again. I bet you are wondering, like everyone else, where our summer went. First of all, we could say we haven’t had summer yet. It’s crazy. Time goes by so fast. I wish the winter went by just as fast. Next week everyone will be hustling out shopping to get their school supplies and new clothes. I wish everyone the best when you go back. Some will be just entering high school and some entering junior high, but whatever class you’re in, give it your best.

Food pantry

Anyone wishing to donate any of their fruits or vegetables from their gardens to the food pantry may do so. It would be greatly appreciated. Please call Vaughn Martin to make arrangements at 488-6608.
