(McLauchlan) Frost, 68, of Scarborough and formerly of Portland and Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, following two months of hospitalization due to complications of her Hepatitis C. She was the loving wife of the late Albert G. Frost II who died on April 12, 2008.
Jean was born in Caribou, on May 3, 1941, a daughter of the late T. Willard and Alice (Anderson) McLauchlan. She attended local area schools and graduated from Kents Hill Academy as a member of the class of 1959. She met her beloved husband Albert, best friend and soul mate, on a blind date at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort and married him on February 14, 1963.
Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend; she held part time jobs as a nursery school teacher and as the secretary for her husband’s business, Frost Marine, which was the oldest Johnson Outboard Motor and Boston Whaler and Chris Craft Dealer in the United States.  She and her husband retired to Florida in 1996.
Jean loved her garden, cooking and entertaining for friends and family.  She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher at Woodford’s Congregational Church. The Frost family enjoyed fond memories skiing at Sugarloaf and snowmobiling in Eustis. They spent their summers on Little Sebago Lake and Casco Bay. They also enjoyed their time cruising the ocean in Florida and their trips to the Keys. Jean loved her animals including her dog, Annika and her cat, Lillie.
She is survived by her two daughters; Kimberly J. Frost Kinsman and her husband Edward of Scarborough and Jennifer A. Frost Caron and her husband Gary also of Scarborough. She also leaves her six grandchildren; Kyley Jennifer Googins, Devin Albert Keith Googins, Edward Aron Kinsman, Jordan Frost Caron, Nicolette Kimberly Caron and Dominique Jennifer Caron all of Scarborough; as well as three sister-in-laws, Dorcas (Frost) McLean of Portland, Brenda C. Frost of Scarborough and Mary McLauchlan of Woodland, ME and a brother-in-law Brian Frost of Portland and several nieces and nephews.  She was also the sister of the late Paul W. Mclauchlan who died September 13, 2009.
Our family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the loving staff on two east medical intensive care unit, sixth central east floor of the Lahey Clinic, Dr. Frederick Gordon and the Liver transplant team for their support during this most difficult time.
