Healthy Aroostook at Mill Pond

   HODGDON, Maine — The Healthy Aroostook Team at Mill Pond School has been busy promoting healthy lifetstyles among the students there. Students in Mrs. Griffin’s first grade classroom enjoyed a story by the Healthy Aroostook Team members called “Samantha Skunk.”     Students listened to the story of Samantha Skunk, a beautiful magenta colored skunk, who turned a sickly green when she tried smoking tobacco. The story warned students of the health risks of smoking and advised that they never start smoking.
Healthy Aroostook Members at Mill Pond School educate their peers about the dangers of tobacco use through a variety of skits, stories, and classroom activities.
