The Presque Isle Wildcats had a successful senior night Friday when they handled visiting Hampden Academy, 9-3, to put an exclamation point on a stellar regular season.

PI finished up at 14-4 following the win. The Broncos broke out to a 2-0 lead, but the Wildcats bounced back to tie it with an unassisted goal by Caleb Buck in the first period and a goal early in the second period by Brennen Shaw, off a Jacob Buck feed.
Hampden went ahead, but Connor Shaw and Brennen Shaw scored consecutive goals to close out the middle period and make it 4-3 in favor of the home team.
In the third, PI scored five unanswered goals – two by both Brennen Shaw and Zac Campbell and one by Isaac Lajoie – to win going away.
Jacob Buck finished with four assists and Ford had three. Presque Isle held a 41-17 shot advantage.
At Houlton last Tuesday, PI was unable to hold on to a two-goal lead in the third period as the Blackhawks prevailed in overtime, 4-3. LaJoie, Brennen Shaw and Connor Shaw scored PI’s goals. Brennen Shaw also had two assists.
