“We drove to Connecticut to see my Pepe and Nana. It’s been a few years since we went. To make the trip quicker, I fell asleep in the car and then woke up in the middle of the night. My brother and my cousin were asleep. My uncle and my Mom went, too. On long car rides I like to sit down and do nothing.”

“We drove to Bangor last year and then got on an airplane and flew to Florida. We went to Disney World. It was a lot of fun. There’s this big ride and you go up in the air and go really high.”

“We drove to the capitol of Maine … it’s really far. We got our new dog there earlier this year. It’s a Boston Terrier. Her name is Piper and she’s really, really hyper. I’m going to call her Hyper Piper when she gets wound up. To pass the time, I was pretending that I was seeing animals turn into robots.”

“We drove overnight to Connecticut two years ago to see my cousin, aunt and uncle. I brought some paper, pencils and a pencil sharpener and
I drew a lot. I also have a DVD player and watched some movies. It was fun staying in a hotel. I got to go in the pool and there was a hot tub in our room. It was fun.”

“In 2009, we drove to Portland to go to Funtown Splashtown. I went with my friend, Marissa, who brought her Nintendo DS and I played her Mario game. We also drew a lot. It’s not always easy to draw in a vehicle, but it was fun.”

“My family went to Edmundston, New Brunswick four or five years ago to see my uncle, Tommy. It took about five hours. To pass the time, I played with some cars and listened to music on my mp3 player. I like Kid Rock.”
