PRESQUE ISLE — With the warm weather of spring comes the inevitable showers, which can keep you cooped up in your home just like winter. The laser tag event at Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle on Saturday, May 15, hosted by G-Force laser tag, is an excellent opportunity for weather-hostage youths to turn off their video games and run around playing for themselves.
Running, jumping, crouching, sliding, teamwork, problem solving and a hefty dose of handeye coordination is what participants can expect during this event; with a two-hour window for each age bracket and with Laser Tag taking place next to Sears in the mall, parents can even coordinate an afternoon of shopping while their children enjoy games for a good cause, as all proceeds of this event will be donated to the Caribou Friends of Scouting for the construction of the new Boy Scouts Hall.
There are three different age group games on Saturday. Youths under 14 are scheduled to play from 2 to 4 p.m.; all ages can play from 4:15 to 6:15 p.m. and youths 14 and up are scheduled to play from 6:30 to 8:30. An adult must accompany youths under the age of 7 at all times.
Pre-registration is not required; participation costs $10 for two hours of laser tag.
